The annual official DG visit occurred last meeting, and DG Jon Bilson together with ADG Jane O’Leary were welcomed by PDG Ross Ledger. Firstly DG Jon presented Max Puddey with his Paul Harris Fellow certificate, and then inducted our newest Member Stan Robins. Thereafter the meeting became a discussion rather than a soliloquy, and many topics were brought up. These included: PolioPlus – 5 out of  6 WHO regions are now wild polio virus free, including Africa; District must publicise it’s raison d’etre; Rotaractors are full Rotary Members from 1 July 2020; we should bring the 2 WA Rotary Districts closer together; engage with Members! Involve them in what we do; let’s lift our game on public image; let’s develop leaders & plan our succession process; support Members through digital District platforms. Rotary International is divided into zones, each with a Director, and the incoming one for us is Dr Jessie Harman from Victoria. 21st April 2021 is the 100th anniversary of Rotary in Australia, and Clubs should have “R100” in their branding where relevant. DG Jon then introduced a “fun time” during which people responded on their phones to various questions. Thereafter various Members presented information about things such as the Community Shed, Youth activities, our Schools involvement, and the forthcoming Fete in November.
