Helen Davidson outlined the differences in the brains of boys and girls leading to the highs, the lows, the joys and the woes of Bringing Up Boys
Helen Davidson joined us again, this time to talk about "Parenting Boys". Around 85 members and visitors attended, including many young Mums and a few Dads, a sprinkling of teachers and a few other guests. Helen who, together with Claire Orange, established the business BEST Programs 4 kids, talked about the highs, the lows, the joys and the woes of bringing up boys in particular. She highlighted the differences that exist in the brain structures of males versus females and outlined how these differences affect the behaviour and general approach to living of the two genders. There was a number of slides as well as two short videos to illustrate key points. Helen punctuated her talk with humorous anecdotes. By understanding the differences between boys and girls and why they exist, parents can better devise confidence-building and communication strategies with and for their offspring. A thoroughly enjoyable and useful morning - many thanks, Helen.
