We had a wonderful night out at the Wembley Golf Club facility where we celebrated the Club’s annual Changeover Night. We were very happy to welcome DG Ineke Oliver and ADG Jane O’Leary to the event, and it all started with drinks and canapés in the foyer of 300 Acres. The formal proceedings commenced with a Toast to Rotary International proposed by Peter Burns, and DG Ineke responded on behalf of Rotary. A few minutes later outgoing President Jeremy Wood took the stand and summarised the year under review as well as a few other pertinent points relating to his very successful Presidency. At this time there were supposed to be a couple of significant presentations, but unfortunately the recipients were indisposed at the last minute and couldn’t attend. This will be re-scheduled as soon as possible. After a delicious main course ADG Jane inducted incoming President Frank Nathan, and outgoing President Jeremy passed over the Chain of Office. A little later President Frank addressed the meeting, and proceeded to introduce the new Board for 2022-2023. Thanks were expressed to all outgoing Board Members, and a welcome was extended to the new team. Although there were some last minute attendance withdrawals from Changeover as a result of our current environment, we were very happy that eighteen Members, four Honorary Members, fifteen Partners and two Distinguished Guests were able to be present!
Thank you President Jeremy and Jeanette for a most successful year, and all of our good wishes are extended to President Frank and Eileen for their forthcoming tenure of office. What a wonderful Rotary Club we have and thanks go to one and all for that! Happy New Rotary Year!!
