Instead of our usual meeting this week, a few Members helped with the Rotary WA Drivers’ Education at the Claremont Showgrounds. About 150 students from John XXIII attended, and they participated in various sessions relating to the many aspects of what's involved in driving a car and what to look out for. Presentations were given by the Police, St John Ambulance and a crash survivor – to name but a few. Other presenters passed on information and provided demonstrations. Grateful thanks are extended to our Rotarians who assisted as individual group chaperones - Rory Beattie, Jim Berry, Peter Burns, Don Holywell, David James and Peter Wagner. Special thanks go to Jeremy Wood for co-ordinating the day, and to Eileen Nathan for serving morning tea. It was another hot day – as seems to be the case most years these days  – but it all went smoothly, and the event was very successful again this year.
We wish all of our readers a Merry Christmas and a very Happy and Healthy New Year!
