We had a combined meeting with the Rotary Clubs of Northbridge and North Perth this last week, and we all participated in the District Governor Pat Schraven’s Official Visit. DG Pat is a member of the Rockingham Club and she reminded us that as Rotarians we are 'people of action', and we need to find ways of getting the word out to people who may not have heard of who we are and what we do. DG Pat expanded on the four aligned goals and actions for Rotary WA, namely increasing our impact (a reminder that Global and District grants are available for new initiatives); expanding our reach (through the creation of 4 new clubs, including Rotaract clubs); enhancing participant engagement (more opportunities to bring the District together to share ideas and connect); and increasing our ability to adapt (be innovative in how we go about achieving our goals). And above all—showcase the fun we have in Rotary. The three Club Presidents then each provided an overview of their respective Club plans for the 2024/2025 Rotary year. Seven of our members were able to attend this productive and pleasurable get-together.
